The role

As Sales Associate, you will identify new customers for Amperia, the protein assay instrumentation of Abselion. This includes the execution of Inside Sales campaigns as directed by the Head of Sales. Activities include generation of new leads, initiating customer interactions and attending trade shows. Support of on-going marketing projects, such as handling of marketing qualified leads and event co-ordination are also part of your responsibilities. You will work together with the Sales and Marketing leads to facilitate Abselion’s growth in the UK biotech market.  

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant background, who is keen to transition into a commercial role or move into the start-up sector. The position is based in Cambridge, UK with travel in UK and EU.

Your responsibilities

Identify and acquire new customers

Communicate the product offering to customers

Manage inside sales campaigns to increase sales pipeline  

Attend trade shows to identify leads and opportunities  

Communicate Inside Sales campaign reports to Head of Sales

Maintain and increase customer database through customer relations management software (Salesforce CRM).

Requirements

BSc. in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or other life science related field  

Lab experience and handling of protein samples

Competent user of Microsoft Office  

Basic knowledge of Salesforce is a plus

Willing to travel 25% within UK and EU
