The entire assay is carried out by moving the RED-Sensors through a sequence of wells in a 96-well plate loaded with the reagents. See for example how RED is deployed to simplify antibody quantification.

The RED-Sensor is dipped into the well with the sample, which in this case contains a Sample Antibody of unknown concentration. These are captured by the Protein A on the surface of the RED-Sensor. Incubation can take as little as 30 seconds.
Detection Antibody
The RED-Sensor is moved into the next well containing the Detection Antibody tagged with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). RED is compatible with standard reagents from most vendors. The Detection Antibody binds to the Sample Antibody in as little as 30 seconds. One feature of RED is that the same wells can be re-used again, meaning the well containing the Detection Antibody can be used for multiple iterations of detection.
Optimized for capture of antibodies. Ideal for antibody quantification or binding assays using an antibody as the capture molecule.
Capture biotinylated molecules using the Neutravidin RED-Sensor. Ideal for binding assays when one of the binding partners is has a biotin tag.
Surface coating with carboxylic acid functional groups. Add molecules to the surface through peptide bonds using EDC/NHS chemistry. The most versatile RED-Sensor, compatible with most assays.
